After 12th Options?
.
School is through, what to do?
The latest buzzword in India is not Bollywood, not even IPL, its "after 12th" which currently takes the maximum mindshare of parents, educators, institutions and of course, students. While this scorching summer means homework, TV and lazing around for most students, others need to take some important decisions of their lives. These are the students who wrote their 12th class exams this year and we want to help them.
So while you decide if you want to be daddy's Doctor or mamma's Manager, we want you to consider the following facts:
- More than 6.5 lakh students wrote their CBSE 12th Board Exam this year.
- There are about 3.5 lakh Engineers created each year in India (America produces about 70,000, EU produces about 1 Lakh)
- Each year, about 1 Lakh students compete for around 30000 medical seats in about 450 colleges.
We don't want to scare you, we want to educate you. You can still become a good engineer or a medico if you wish to, but not if you 'have' to. Students often take up conventional courses like Engineering, Medical, Commerce and law due to peer and parents' pressure and also due to limited knowledge of available options. Today we talk about a career option that is novel, yielding and promising... "Deutsche Sprache"
